The University of North Carolina at Charlotte's Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (E.P.I.C.) is an educational and research facility for the next generation of engineers.

Project Highlights

  •  The project was overseen by several major utility providers and engineering companies to ensure that the college was receiving the best facility possible.
  •  A 4,000 square foot clean room and a 3,500 square foot material growth lab and high-bay research area are just two of several specialized research areas.
  •  A 15kV primary service delivers power to the facility and a 2,500 kVA transformer and 1,000kVA emergency generator provide 480V distribution power throughout the facility.
