DUKE WEST CAMPUS UNION

The Duke University's West Campus Union building is the social hub of the west campus.

Project Highlights

Renovation to the existing facility originally built in 1931.
Existing walls are stone with some being over 18" thick. This existing structure posed challenges for routing new MEP systems.
The core of the original building was replaced with a modern architectural facility composed of glass and steel.
A high density of kitchens required careful consideration for routing power distribution.
